BIOGRAPHY:
Di Tonno began learning the piano when he was eight years old. He began writing his own songs a few years later, influenced by cantautori such as De André, Guccini, and Fossati. He gained experience as a singer with numerous music groups as a youth. He won the Sanremo Giovani competition in 1993 with the song La voce degli Ubriachi and qualified for the Sanremo Music Festival in 1994. He entered there.
After many musical endeavours (including a 2006 Jekyll & Hyde performance), various television appearances, and intermittent work as a singer and songwriter, Di Tonno returned to the Sanremo Festival in 2008 with Lola Ponce (who had previously stood by his side in Notre Gianna Nannini wrote the song Colpo di fulmine, which is currently being performed.
