In 2003, Church collaborated with Jurgen Vries, a trance music producer, to sing vocals on his composition The Opera Song (Brave New World). Because it was her first attempt into pop music, she was credited on the records as CMC (her initials). The song peaked at number three on the UK Singles Chart, becoming Church’s second highest-charting single and Vries’ highest-charting track.
Church became a patron of the charity The Topsy Foundation UK in 2007, helping to raise awareness and finances for their work in rural areas in South Africa, empowering people living with HIV and AIDS via medical care, social assistance, and skill development.In March and April 2008, articles in the UK news claimed that she was still training traditionally.Church released her first pop album, Tissues and Issues, in 2005.
Church debuted three new songs on BBC Radio with Bethan Elfyn on May 26, 2012: “The Rise,” “How Not to Be Surprised When You’re a Ghost,” and “Say It’s True.” On September 4, 2012, Church released her first EP, ONE. Church released “Glitterbombed,” the lead track off her second EP, via The Line of Best Fit, an online music magazine, on December 19, 2012.TWO, her second EP, was released on April 4th.
