She left Bjork and became a member of a hippie group. Bjork lives with Matthew Barney, her partner and artist. In 2002, they both had a daughter, named Isadora Bjarkardottir Barney. She has a son named Sindri Eldon Thorsson, who is now 27 years old, with her former band mate Thor Eldon. In 1981, with Lakob Magnusson, Bjork established a band named ‘Jam-80.’ The band’s name has been altered to ‘Tappi Tikarrass.’ The single ‘Bitio Fast I Vitio’ was published in the album. The band ‘KUKL’ was created by Bjork, a gothic rock group, with Einar Orn Benediktsson, Einar Melax, Guolaugur Ottarsson, Sigtryggur Baldursson and Birgir Mogensen. The band toured Iceland and Britain and created ‘The Eye’ and ‘Holidays in Europe.’ In 1986, the band named ‘Sugarcubes’ was founded and her first hit track, ‘Birthday,’ was released. This song was a great hit in Great Britain. The success of the song gave them the ‘One Little Indian’ label. Immediately after its release, ‘Sugarcubes’ became a culto band and began to receive numerous offers from many record companies but they decided to continue to their original label to keep creative control over it.
‘Life’s Too Good’ was released in 1988. ‘Sugarcubes’ disbanded in 1993. Bjork moved to London for her solo career and co-produced smash single “Human Behavior” with Nellee Hooper. The video was released by Michel Gondry on MTV. In 1993, ‘Debut’ was released and platinum headed to the United States. In her solo singing career it was a great milestone. The album contained some of Bjork’s songs when she was a teenager. The album’s music was instrumental and aimed towards dance.
She received the Best International Female Artist and Best International Newcomer at the 1994 BRIT Awards, giving her the opportunity to cooperate with a large number of British artists such as David Arnold, Madonna, Tricky, Plaid, etc. Bjork released ‘Post,’ the second studio album by Nellee Hooper, Tricky, Graham Massey and Howie B in 1995. The record has significantly deeper jazz tones and orchestral orchestration than its first album. Her third album “Homogenic” was published in 1995, produced by Mark Bell, Howie B., and Eumir Deodato. The record was declared gold in the USA and included much more experimental and greater beats than any of its previous efforts.

It was known as ‘Live Box.’ There was also a DVD with a film of the CD tracks. ‘Medulla’ was released in 2004 including works from artists like Tagaq, Rahzel, Dokaka, Mike Patton and Robert Wyatt alongside Bjork’s voice. It was the highest charting album in her career in the United States.
‘Volta’ was released in 2007. It was her sixth album in the studio. She composed and produced most of the tunes of the album herself. She worked with artists such as Timbaland, Antony Hegarty, Sjon, Mark Bell, Min Xiaofen and others. In 2010, Bjork was awarded a Polar Music Prize by the Royal Swedish Academy of Music with Ennio Morricone. That same year, for the film ‘Moomins and the Comet Chase,’ she sang a song called ‘The comet song.’ Bjork published details on her new musical project ‘Biophilla’ in 2011.
It was her seventh record in the studio. The album was innovatively released as a series of applications. She worked together with Apple ad, making it the world’s ‘first app album.’ The remixed album ‘Bastards’ of Bjork was published in 2012. The CD included remixed tunes from her ‘Biophilia’ album.
