BIOGRAPHY:

Between the years 2009 and 2014, Travis McElroy held the position of technical director at the Cincinnati Shakespeare Company. My Brother, My Brother and Me is a comedy podcast that has been co-hosted by Travis McElroy, along with his brothers Justin and Griffin. The podcast is described as an “advice show for the modern era,” and it is part of the Maximum Fun network. The McElroy brothers have been hosting the podcast since 2010. The podcast was initially broadcast on Seeso, and in 2017, the brothers also starred in a television show that was based on the podcast. The McElroy brothers and their father Clint McElroy began producing a podcast for tabletop role-playing games under the name The Adventure Zone in the year 2014. The show began with Dungeons & Dragons but later switched to other game systems. However, when it came time for the third and fourth campaigns, they went back to D&D. Travis McElroy gives the performance of Magnus Burnsides, a human fighter, in the first story arc, titled “Balance.” Travis plays the part of the magician Aubrey Little in the second campaign, which is called Amnesty. Graduation was the third and final campaign that he oversaw as Dungeon Master for the show.

In the fourth and final campaign, Ethersea, he takes on the role of Devo, a bard. In addition, during the years 2015 and 2016, McElroy was a co-host on the podcast Can I Pet Your Dog? alongside Allegra Ringo and Renee Colvert. He left the show after the 57th episode due to the fact that he was moving and was expecting a child at the same time. Nevertheless, McElroy did eventually make a cameo appearance as a guest star in episodes 71 and 81 of the show.

In addition, McElroy co-hosted the comedy podcast titled “doomsday prepping” with Andie Bolt from 2014 until 2018, at which point he retired from the show and was succeeded by Ben Ellis. McElroy also co-hosted the podcast titled “Trends Like These” with his former roommate Brent Black and writer Courtney Enlow from 2015 until the conclusion of the show in 2020. Since 2016, he and his wife Teresa have been serving as co-hosts on the show Shmanners. McElroy and his brothers also co-host a yearly podcast with Tim Batt and Guy Montgomery called ‘Til Death Do Us Blart. The podcast is released every year around the time of the Thanksgiving holiday in the United States, and in it, they discuss the movie Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2.

The brothers also host the documentary podcast titled The McElroy Brothers Will Be in Trolls World Tour, which led to the eventual revelation that all three of them were going to make cameo appearances in the movie. In 2018, Travis McElroy made an appearance on Dice, Camera, Action as a guest star as a part of the Dungeons & Dragons event known as the Stream of Many Eyes. This event was designed to promote the new Waterdeep storyline. In 2021, a newly discovered species of millipede was given the name Nannaria mcelroyorum. This was done in honor of the podcasts produced by the McElroy family, which kept the researchers entertained while they were out in the field. In addition to the rest of the Appalachian region, the millipede can be found in West Virginia.
