Jonathan Quick Phone Number, House Address, Email, Biography, Wiki, Whatsapp, and Contact Information
Jonathan Douglas Quick was born on January 21, 1986, in Los Angeles, California. He is an American professional ice hockey goaltender who plays for the National Hockey League’s Los Angeles Kings (NHL). Quick was drafted 72nd overall in the third round of the 2005 NHL Entry Draft by Los Angeles. Quick earned a silver medalist with the United States at the 2010 Winter Olympics and is a two-time Vezina Trophy nominee and William M. Jennings Trophy winner.
On June 11, 2012, he won his first Stanley Cup with the Kings, and he won his second with the Kings in 2014. Quick’s Conn Smythe Trophy-winning Conn Smythe Trophy run in the 2012 Stanley Cup playoffs has been dubbed the best statistical postseason run in history. He is widely considered to be one of the most illustrious American goaltenders in NHL history. Quick is married to Jaclyn (née Backman), with whom he shares a son and a daughter. Alicia, Jaclyn’s sister, is married to Matt Moulson, a former Buffalo Sabres forward.
Quick was born in Milford but grew up in Hamden, Connecticut, a prominent hockey town in the northeast, where he attended Hamden High School before moving to Avon Old Farms, a private school with a strong hockey program. His descendants still live in Hamden. Following Quick’s 2012 Stanley Cup victory, Ray and Mike’s Deli in Hamden christened the “Quickwich” sandwich in his honor.
Jonathan Quick Biography/Wiki
Quick scored an empty-net goal against the Pensacola Ice Pilots on October 27, 2007, at 19:25 in the third period, in his second start with the ECHL’s Reading Royals, after losing his first professional start with the Reading Royals. In his first appearance in the NHL postseason, Quick was in the net for the Los Angeles Kings during the 2010 Stanley Cup playoffs. With a 2.48 GAA and.914 save percentage, he concluded the season with a 21–18–2 record. On April 17, 2011, against the San Jose Sharks, he recorded his first NHL Stanley Cup playoff shutout, stopping all 34 shots for a 4–0 victory.
Quick was named a Vezina Trophy finalist on April 25, 2012, following the conclusion of the 2011–12 regular season, with Henrik Lundqvist and Pekka Rinne, the former of whom went on to win the award. Quick was also named to the NHL Second Team All-Star team in 2011–12. He set a King’s team record with 10 shutouts, had the NHL’s second-lowest GAA (1.95), and a final record of 35–21–13. The eighth-seeded Kings upset the top-seeded and Presidents’ Trophy-winning Vancouver Canucks in five games during the 2012 Stanley Cup playoffs, followed by the Kings’ first-ever four-game playoff series sweep over the second-seeded St. Louis Blues.
Quick made 43 saves on all 43 shots he faced in a 1–0 shootout victory over the St. Louis Blues on October 16, 2014. Quick’s save % in a shootout win was the highest he’d ever had. After a 2–0 victory over the Buffalo Sabres on October 23, Quick passed Rogie Vachon as the Kings’ all-time leader in shutouts with his 33rd. Quick would go on to play 72 games in the 2014–15 season, starting 71 of them. Quick finished with a record of 36–22–13, a 2.24 GAA, a.918 Save Percentage, and six shutouts.
The Kings would go on to miss the playoffs, losing by two points to the Calgary Flames for the final playoff spot. He is now the all-time leader in shutouts among American-born goaltenders after a 5-0 shutout win against the Chicago Blackhawks on March 14, 2016. During the 2016 NHL All-Star Game, Quick was in the net for the Pacific Division. Quick suffered a lower-body injury in the 2016–17 season’s first game, against the San Jose Sharks, on October 12, 2016. He decided not to have surgery for the injury.
Quick was invited to the NHL All-Star Game in 2018, but he declined because of a persistent ailment. Any player who is invited to an All-Star game but declines is compelled by NHL policy to sit out the following regular-season game. The league ordered him to sit out the next regular-season game, which was on January 30, 2018. Quick won his second Jennings Trophy for conceding the fewest goals against during the regular season at the end of the regular season.
Quick’s efforts helped the Kings qualify for the 2018 Stanley Cup playoffs, but they were swept in four games by the Vegas Golden Knights. Quick, on the other hand, was excellent, allowing only 7 goals in four games with a 1.55 GAA and a.947 SV%. Quick was selected as the team’s starting goalkeeper over colleagues Ryan Miller and Jimmy Howard after his selection to Team USA for the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi. He went on to start five of the United States’ six games (Miller would start the other).
