Wojnarowski began working for Yahoo! Sports instead of The Record full-time in 2007. While at Yahoo! Sports, he has contributed to the discovery of numerous groundbreaking national stories. The men’s basketball team at the University of Connecticut Huskies was linked in an article by Wojnarowski and Dan Wetzel from March 2009.
The Penguin Group reportedly sued Wojnarowski in 2010 for missing a deadline on a book about coach Jim Valvano, and the New York Post reported on the lawsuit. He explained the situation away as “a mistake between my agency and me” and promised to give Penguin Books its money back.
