Katie Phang is a well-known American attorney, legal expert, and television host. She was born on August 1, 1975 in the United States. It is her job to host The Katie Phang Show, which can be seen on MSNBC on the weekends and on Peacock from Thursday through Friday. Phang was born in the city of Miami, located in Florida. At the age of 19, her father made the journey over the ocean from South Korea to the United States. Phang received his diploma from Miami Palmetto Senior High School in Pinecrest, which is located in the state of Florida. She was told by Katherine Fernandez Rundle, the chief assistant to the state attorney, that she needed to resign from her position because Rundle “does not want her assistants delivering public legal analysis or comments surrounding criminal trials.” Phang instead decided to leave her position as a prosecutor with the state attorney’s office, though she did continue in her function as an unpaid legal adviser after joining a private law company. In addition, she reported for WFOR on the trial of Robert Blake and the case involving Terri Schiavo. She went on to work as a legal expert for Fox News, where Greta Van Susteren was one of her most regular interview subjects.
In 2017, Phang was hired by NBCUniversal to work in the legal analysis department. In 2021, Phang made an appearance on CNBC’s Money Court alongside Kevin O’Leary and Ada Pozo, where the three of them arbitrated various monetary disagreements. She made the premiere of her own show, The Katie Phang Show, on MSNBC and Peacock in the month of April 2022. The Katie Phang Show airs on the weekends on MSNBC and from Thursdays to Fridays on Peacock. Phang also presents the documentary podcast titled “Class Action,” which is a 12-part series that follows several competitive mock trial teams. Phang also serves as a substitute anchor for the MSNBC program “The Beat with Ari Melber” and “All In with Chris Hayes.” Jonathan Feldman is Phang’s husband, and the couple currently resides in Miami Shores.

When asked about her work, she said the following: After working in the private sector as a commercial litigator for four years, Phang returned to public service in 2009 as an Assistant State Attorney at the Broward County State Attorney’s Office, where she prosecuted life and first-degree felony offences. During her time there, she was responsible for bringing cases to trial. Between the years 2012 and 2014, Phang served as a founding partner at Arrastia, Capote, and Phang, LLP. Since 2015, Phang has held the position of Partner at Berger Singerman, and since 2017, he has contributed his legal expertise to NBC News and MSNBC.
