By the year 2012, she had established herself professionally and, at the urging of her boyfriend, began a regular, biweekly podcast as a means of expressing her opposition to Proposition 35, Measure B in the state of California. After having a disagreement with This American Life, a public radio program, the name of the podcast was eventually changed to “The WhoreCast.” Originally titled “This American Whore,” the name was eventually changed.  After the passage of Proposition 35, the podcast was expanded to cover a wider variety of topics, such as transgender issues, sexuality, the rights of sex workers, politics, and pornography. This occurred after the proposition was approved.

She first started writing a regular column for SF Weekly in 2014, and since then, she has been covering topics such as pornography, feminism, sexuality, and the sex work industry in her articles. At the 2015 AVN Awards, she shared a nomination for Best All-Girl Group Sex Scene with another performer.

Siouxsie Q became known as an outspoken opponent of California’s Proposition 35, Measure B, which is a component of the Californians Against Sexual Exploitation Act, due to the podcast that she hosts called “The WhoreCast.” She stated in her broadcasts that she thought the proposition was “a confusing piece of legislation” and that it overly expanded the definition of “trafficking” to include anyone who lived with or derived support from someone who is a prostitute. She also stated that she considered the proposition to be “a confusing piece of legislation.”  As a direct response to Proposition 35, The WhoreCast was founded as “a vehicle to really humanize sex work” and as a means to voice opposition to the legislation.

In addition to that, she used the podcast to voice her opposition to Assembly Bill 1576, which is a bill that would mandate the use of condoms in all adult films produced in the state of California. She referred to the proposed legislation as “part of a multipronged strategy… to shut down the porn industry in California.”  In 2013, she was profiled on CNN after she organized a registration drive for Obamacare that was referred to as the “Healthy Ho’s Party.” Nearly forty people participated in the event, which was deemed a success because it was designed to encourage sex workers to enroll in the newly established insurance exchanges.
